The Chinese New Year festivities at Mandani Bay bode immensely auspicious as they include the groundbreaking of the Retail Component at the Boardwalk, representing a major project milestone.
Mandani Bay joined the global community in ushering in Chinese New Year, alternately called the Lunar New Year, on February 8, 2024, Thursday, in signature grand revelry.
The groundbreaking ceremony comprises the highlight of the event. Lowering the time capsule at the event were Mr. Gilbert Ang, HTLand Project Director, Engr. Maynard Taray, Senior Project Manager HTLand Inc., Architect Dax Cuaresma, Design Manager HTLand Inc., Mr. Zosimo Mercado, President of JLO and Daughsons Inc., and April Salamero, HTLand Leasing Manager.
The Retail Component is one of the property’s most exciting elements, hosting homegrown and national names in dining. The concept is eagerly anticipated by discerning diners. It will host coffeshops and restaurants serving all-day breakfasts and culinary novelty in a setting that offers an unobstructed view of the Mactan Channel.
With the Retail Component, Mandani Bay justifies its evolution into a world-class lifestyle destination, effectively fully embracing Cebu as it brings people together into the community on a daily basis.
Mandani Bay’s Lunar New Year celebration is a tradition started in the community in 2017.
This year, as in previous years, the Chinese New Year Parade, at the multi-awarded Mandani Bay Show Gallery, featured the Dragon/Lion Dance. The dance is an important ritual believed to bring good luck and drive away evil spirits.
Mandani Bay is a 20-hectare waterfront mixed-use development. With its strategic location and thoughtful masterplan, it inevitably ignites core passions – culture, creativity, water and adventure, creating an enviable lifestyle, not only for its residents, but also for the greater community.
